Dearest Emma,
How can I even begin to tell you how your life has touched mine. Your sweet smile, your intelligence, your laugh, your conversation… even the way you hug us and say “I love you” while you’re half asleep at 1 in the morning… it all makes my heart soar. Your personality is so bright, kind, and unbelievably endearing – it’s no wonder that we all love you so very much. Especially your brother. As I watch the two of you play and interact, I see the most beautiful friendship in it’s earliest beginnings. You bring so much extraordinary to my everyday.
And how can I explain how you inspire me? How you help me to grow, learn, and persevere… even though the difficulty of this past year… Will you ever know how much I needed you then… now… more than ever.
You are such an amazing gift to me, my sweet girl. Thank you for making me a mom 3 years ago today. It was truly one of the best days of my entire life. I will always treasure that day as I have treasured every day since then.
